I'm an amateur photographer living in Central Texas. I grew up in Upstate New York, surrounded by forests and dairy farms. In 2006, my wife and I moved to Texas. We live close to family in Killeen.

I began taking pictures in 2004 when I bought my first digital camera. I was surprised to find that not only did I enjoy taking pictures of the natural world, but others loved my work. I soon upgraded to a Canon D-SLR, grabbed some lenses and filters, and got serious about the craft of photography.

Right now, my main interest is in macro (close-up) shots, but I'm a big fan of the landscapes around the Texas Hill Country. I was stationed in Germany and found lots of inspiration there. I miss the castles, the craggy region north-east of Nuremburg known as Frankische Schweiz, and the numerous waterfalls. Texas is kind of short on waterfalls, but you can find them if you look hard enough.

I tried my hand at wedding photography, but that's not for me - I'd like to have my weekends free between May and September. I am available for other events or portraits. Contact me for scheduling and prices.
